“Very slick check-in with staff who clearly know their job, are all over the systems and clearly want you to have the best stay possible. “Very Scottish decor’ for some reason. Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. “Perfect find fir a few nights away with the bonus of parking in Keswick!! Hotel was beautiful and certainly above the ‘stars’ given. Bedrooms were massive and tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were amazing and plenty of it. Some decor dated bit the staff certainly made up for any of that. .. Kind, professional, knowledgable, engaging abd with a sense of humour. …. Certainly a credit to Hotel. Hotel has recently been modernised bit nit lost its Victorian charm. Definitely worth a visit ”

“The restaurant was excellent although the service was slow as there was no Maitre d' at the door to welcome and we had to wait quite a few minutes to be seated. However, the waiter cleared a table for us efficiently upon request. The setting was perfect for our outdoor weekend: rapidly flowing river outside our window and lovely views into the valley. The room was comfortable and spacious fitting myself, my husband and grown son adequately.”

“Really beautiful place both the hotel and the location. Staff were all very nice, polite snd helpful which made the stay even more pleasant. The only downside was breakfast, the qaulity of the produce was excellant as i'm guessing was the standard of the breakfast if you were there at the start. I guess part of the problem was our own doing because we decided on a late breakfast towards the end of service, so we found the hot food gad now gone cold. This shouldn't happen so maybe look into...

“We came to celebrate our anniversary & when checking in got a lovely surprise that they upgraded us! They even laid rose petals out on the bed! Room was absolutely gorgeous with the most unreal view, comfy bed & jacuzzi in the room too. “Amazing for so many reasons. The staff (family) are so incredibly helpful, friendly and genuine. Each of them went out of their way to make our vacation better.
